Sobremesa. With Maria de la O Garrido and Carmen Gray.

DRAMA is a workshop format proposing a non-virtuoso exploration of how text can be activated, and its reception affected, through voice, sound, movement, space and collectivity. DRAMA challenges the format of the reading group by using visual and written communication both as points of departure and of rapture. The workshops explore non-linear, personal and performative approaches to the production and analysis of text.

Free and itinerant, the workshops usually last three hours and are structured over three parts: participants are invited to take part in performative reading of provided texts, which is followed by a writing session inspired by Lea Melandri’s practice of embodied and affective writing (*scrittura d’esperienza*). The session ends with the performance and sharing of the texts and contents produced.

DRAMA proposes the notion of ‘over-sharing’ as a possibility for empathy, connection and affirmation. Over the last two years, this notion has been integrated with themes such as domesticity and carnality; conviviality and sobremesa; practices of listening; voice and sound; cybernetics and lesbian erotica.
